Hello, I am Karen Miller, The 8a Mentor.

My Story: My Pain, Your Gain
After my 8a narrative failed the initial screening, I called the SBA Office for advice. They were very vague but kept referring to the “preponderance of evidence” (their term for criteria). When I probed for more information, their suggestion was “if you can’t figure it out, get help writing my narrative.” I was somewhat insulted by their response, since I am an accomplished writer, but I took it in stride and started researching my options.
